  • 300 grams pork belly thinly sliced
  • 2 hard boiled eggs sliced in half
  • 9 fish balls sliced in half
  • 500 grams hokkien noodles or any thick fresh yellow noodles cooked according to packet instructions
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • spring onions to garnish optional
  • fried shallots crispy to garnish optional
  • 3 cups chicken growth
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons dried shrimps
  • 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 shallots small finely chopped
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • fish sauce
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
